We are thrilled to unveil our latest creative endeavor, Lumen Terra. This is more than just a single project; it’s the foundation of an expansive world where we aim to tell rich, immersive stories across a variety of mediums. Our first step into this universe is currently known as Project Labrys, a comic series that serves as an entry point into the sprawling landscapes and intricate narratives that define Lumen Terra. While comics are our starting format, we have ambitious plans to bring this world to life through other mediums in the coming years, ensuring these stories reach audiences in dynamic and varied ways.
Across the massive desert of the Landmass, two students receive a distress signal from their Master. The two become reluctant allies against pirates, the sands, and something lurking just out of view. Armed with the Master's teachings and potent botanic equipment, a final mission arises; find their former teacher.
The visual identity of Project Labrys draws heavily from the golden age of blockbuster animations in the 1990s and 2000s. We want each comic panel to evoke the feeling of a storyboard frame from those iconic films — vibrant, cinematic, and brimming with life. The art style is designed to immerse readers in a world that feels both nostalgic and fresh, with dynamic compositions and expressive character designs that pay homage to the classics while forging a unique visual path.
With the launch of Project Labrys, our goal is to maintain a consistent release schedule, aiming for at least one comic release per month. We’re committed to keeping our community informed, so if there are any changes to this schedule, we’ll be transparent and communicative. The story of Lumen Terra is vast, and Project Labrys is just the beginning — many more tales are waiting to be told, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
I started developing the world this story takes place in during the Winter of 2019, and I'm so proud to see how far it's grown. To have such an amazing team behind me helping mold this world into something that's worthy of showcasing is such a blessing, and Project Labrys is only the start.
